MISS CHINESE TORONTO PAGEANT 2025 APPLICATION
TERMS AND REGULATIONS

1. FAIRCHILD TELEVISION

  1. Miss Chinese (Toronto) Pageant 2025 (“the Contest”) is organized by Fairchild Television Ltd. (“the Organizer”). It is open to female contestants who satisfy the requirement set out below (“the Contestant”).
  2. The Organizer may in its absolute discretion produce a television program on the Contest and broadcast the same by television, internet and any other media format.
  3. The Contestant hereby applies to participate in the Contest on the terms and conditions hereinafter appearing.

2. ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to participate in the Contest, the Contestant must fulfill each of the following requirements:

  1. The Contestant must be a Chinese female;
  2. The Contestant is at least 17 years of age by August 1, 2025 and have not attained the age of 28 on or before February 28, 2026 (by Western reckoning);
  3. Contestant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, holding a valid working visa or student visa, be able to work legally in Canada and have resided continuously in Canada for at least six months on the day of the Application Form is signed;
  4. The Contestant must be nominated by a person who fulfills all the requirements set out underparagraph #3;
  5. The Contestant must not be bound by any contract which will prevent her from entering the contract with the Organizer referred to in paragraph #6;
  6. The Contestant must not be an employee, or an immediate family member of an employee of the Organizer, Fairchild Television, or the Co-Organizers, Talentvision TV, Fairchild Radio and Popular Lifestyle Entertainment Magazine;
    1. The Contestantmust be a person: who has never been through any ceremony either valid or invalid, whether civil, religious, customary or tribal which is recognized as a marriage ceremony in any part of the world;
    2. Who has never been pregnant or committed a crime/with a criminal conviction record.
  7. All Contestants are required to participate in all promotional activities and trainings arranged by the Organizer. The Organizer retains the right to disqualify any absentee.

3. THE NOMINATOR

The Nominator of the Contestant must fulfill the following requirement:

  1. The Nominator must have known the Contestant personally on the day that the Contestant signs the Application Form;
  2. The Nominator must be at least 21 years of age (by Western reckoning) on the day that the Contestant signs the Application Form;
  3. The Nominator must be a Canadian permanent resident or citizen holding a valid Canadian identifying card or passport;
  4. The Nominator may have to appear in person in the television program on the Contest to be produced by the Organizer when required to do so by the Organizer;
  5. Each Nominator can nominate more than one Contestant;
  6. The Nominator must not be an employee, or an immediate family member of an employee of the Organizer, Fairchild Television or the Co-organizers, Talentvision TV, Fairchild Radio and Popular Lifestyle Entertainment Magazine.

4. ENTRY PROCEDURE

  1. The Contestant must complete and sign the section of the form entitled “Application Form (For Contestant)”.
  2. The Nominator must complete and sign the section of the form entitled “Nomination Form (For Nominator)”.
  3. When the Application Form and Nomination Form have been completed and signed in the aforesaid manner, the Contestant must return them to the Organizer together with the following:
    1. two postcard size photographs of the Contestant; one half body portrait and one full body portrait.
    2. copy of photo ID.
  4. The Contestant must submit the above online at www.TorontoChinesePageant.com on or before September 2nd, 2025 or Mail in application form is to be sent to the following address:

  6. The Contestant must immediately prepare the original documents referred to in paragraph #4C above for inspection by the Organizer when requested.

5. INTERVIEWS

  1. The Organizer will consider all received applications, and selected applicants will be contacted to attend the selections at the time(s) and place(s) designated by the Organizer.
  2. The Organizer will select some Contestants from the selections amongst the submitted applications to participate in the Final.

6. CONTEST

As a condition precedent to the Contestant participation in the Final of Contest, the Contestants selected from the interviews must enter into a Contract with the Organizer.

7. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

  1. The Contestant hereby acknowledges and agrees that the Organizer may in its absolute discretion:
    1. Request her to produce evidence of her residency stay in Canada;
    2. Request documents of identity out of Canada other than landed immigrant documents, Canadian Citizenship or Passport which issued in Canada under paragraph #2C or #3C;
    3. Refuse any application without explanation;
    4. Withdraw the Contestant from the interviews, and the Finalist of the Contest (as the case may be) without assigning any reasons despite the fact that she may have been selected to participate;
    5. Choose and decide upon the contesting number of the contestant;
    6. Amend, suspend or cancel interview, promotional activities and Contest and to amend these terms and regulations without notice.

  2. The Contestant Further agrees:
    The property right and all copyright of the photographs and the photocopies of the document referred to in paragraph #4C shall pass to the Organizer on her submitting the Application Form. She shall not demand the return of the same under any circumstances.

8. WARRANTIES

  1. The Contestant hereby warrants and undertakes that all the information supplied by her and the Nominator in the Application Form are true and accurate.
  2. The photograph(s) of the contestant has been taken within 3 months from the date of submission.

9. LANGUAGE

The Application Form is written in both English and Chinese. The Contestant understands that the Chinese translation is for reference purpose only and in the event of conflict between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.

10. LAW

  1. The contract shall be constructed in accordance with the law of Ontario, Canada.
  2. The Organizer shall have the right to collect, use and disclose the Contestant’s personal information for the purposes of or related in any way to the promotion and production of the Contest.
