1. What makes a great actress? Do you have a role model? ▼ ▲
The best leading actress is not defined by “perfection,” but by her authenticity and uniqueness. Her flaws make her more compelling, because they carry her story and soul. She loves and hates deeply, lives with passion and purpose, and uses her steady spirit to impact the world. She knows who she is and does not change herself to please others; her strength comes from inner conviction, not external applause. For me, Jo from “Little Women” embodies this spirit. She is often lost, yet courageous enough to carve out her own path; she is raw and real, and because of that, she illuminates others.
2. What is the achievement you are most proud of so far? ▼ ▲
At 23, I carried four oversized suitcases and, in the middle of a snowstorm, moved alone from Hong Kong to Toronto. I had no family and friends waiting for me. I simply took the bus to find a place and slowly built a new life for myself. That experience taught me that with determination and resilience, even the most foreign place can be transformed into “home.”
3. If you could have any fictional character as your best friend, who would it be? ▼ ▲
Mia Dolan from “La La Land”. Like me, she is a dreamer. We would understand each other’s solitude and passion, encourage one another in moments of struggle and confusion, and resonate with each other between dreams and reality. To me, friendship doesn’t need extravagance. It is the quiet midnight conversations that touch the soul.
4. If your life were a movie and you were the leading or main character, what would the genre of the movie be? ▼ ▲
It would be an indie art film, quiet yet profound. Dialogue would be sparse, but every word would matter. The camera would not chase noise, but instead capture the ripples of the inner world and the nuances of observation. It takes time and patience to digest and be truly understood.
5. Name a movie that you think everyone should watch. ▼ ▲
“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” is my all-time favourite movie. It explores the weight of love and memory, and the meaning of loss and rebirth. It reminds us that every memory, whether joyful or painful, is worth treasuring, because together they shape the wholeness of who we are.
6. Please share your favorite three songs and choose one that you feel best represents your life’s theme song. ▼ ▲
“Split” by Jay Chou, “Exit Music (For A Film)” by Radiohead and “Youth” by Daughter. Among them, “Split” resonates with me the most. The song speaks of the tug-of-war between ideals and reality, between dreams and responsibility, a struggle I know well. Growing up in Hong Kong and now living in Canada, I constantly navigate between cultures and values, trying to find balance. Yet this “split” has not weakened me, it has forged a more resilient soul. It reminds me of the beauty of staying true to myself, and of walking my own path with gentleness yet unshakable determination.
7. Do you have a must do item on the bucket list that would like to complete in this year? ▼ ▲
In the second half of this year, I hope to embrace every moment wholeheartedly during this pageant journey. For me, it is not just about the outcome, but about the growth and insight the process brings. I want this experience to nurture greater confidence, elegance, and composure in me, and to pass that energy on to others. If my story can inspire even one person to believe in her own strength, that spark alone would be enough. That is the mark I wish to leave.
8. Which cartoon character do you wish were real? ▼ ▲
Sophie from “Howl’s Moving Castle”. Even when cursed into an old woman and stripped of her place in the world, she still chooses kindness and acceptance, embracing others with quiet strength. If our world had more souls like Sophie, perhaps we would all live with more compassion, love, and understanding.
9. What Chinese culture do you hope to pass on to the next generation? ▼ ▲
The culture of “reunion.” No matter where we are, we return to family and loved ones on important days. It’s more than just sharing a meal; it’s a profound bond that reminds us to cherish one another’s presence. True happiness is not in grandeur, but in knowing there is always someone waiting for you to come home.
10. What slogan could represent your life? ▼ ▲
“True beauty doesn’t chase, it attracts.” True attraction is not in chasing, but in quietly becoming. When you grow into your best self, the world will naturally be drawn to you.。
