A great actress has the ability to remove herself and fully embody the character she portrays. She not only entertains but also inspires, using her platform to bring awareness to social issues and give a voice to those who need it most. My role model is Michelle Yeoh, because she exemplifies both artistry and integrity. She has broken barriers as one of the first Asian women to achieve global recognition in Hollywood, representing East Asians on a global stage. Michelle Yeoh reminds me that success is not just about personal achievement, but about opening doors for others and leaving a legacy of inspiration.

The achievement I’m most proud of is learning how to ride a motorcycle and drive a manual car. On the surface, it might seem like just learning a new skill, but for me, it was about challenging myself, embracing patience, and overcoming fear. Both required focus, perseverance, and confidence, and each time I mastered a new maneuver, it was a small step proving to myself how capable I truly was. This experience taught me that growth often happens outside of our comfort zones, and it reminded me that determination and courage can turn what once felt impossible into something empowering.

If I could have any fictional character as a best friend, I would choose Totoro from “My Neighbor Totoro”. Totoro is more than just a magical creature, he represents kindness, calm, and the beauty of connecting with the world around us. In a world that often feels rushed and overwhelming, Totoro would remind us to embrace life with a sense of wonder and imagination. He teaches us that even ordinary moments can become extraordinary when we approach them with curiosity and a loving heart. I think having a friend like Totoro would inspire all of us to be more compassionate, adventurous, and joyful every single day.

If my life were a movie, it would be an action film. I’ve always loved learning new skills, especially those that are physically demanding, whether that’s snowboarding, riding motorcycles, or even exploring activities that test my limits. To me, action isn’t just about thrill or adventure, but about facing challenges with courage. Life often puts us in situations that require bravery and persistence, and an action movie perfectly represents the energy and determination I want to embody.

A time I stepped out of my comfort zone was when I decided to cut my hair shoulder length in order to donate 10 inches of hair I had been growing for three years. I had always been very attached to my long hair, and it had become part of my identity. Letting it go was not easy, but I reminded myself that my hair could bring comfort and confidence to someone going through illness. That experience taught me that true beauty is not in appearances, but in the kindness we share with others. It also showed me that stepping out of your comfort zone often leads to growth, and even joy, when you do it for a greater purpose.

My favourite three songs are: “Just Keep Watching” by Tate McRae - one that I listen to when I’m driving on my motorcycle, “The Sky” by G.E.M. one that reminds me of the support I have in my life as I conquer my dreams. My favourite song is “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield, because I connect with its lyrics, as my life is just beginning, it is a blank book, unwritten, and I hold the pen, like the way I control and live my own life.

One of the biggest bucket list items I had was to participate in the Sporting Life 10K run, and this year I finally completed it. What made it so special is that it wasn’t just about the race, it was about raising money for children battling serious illnesses and helping them experience healing through joy at Campfire Circle. It was especially meaningful because I had dedicated months to training, and each session tested my perseverance and commitment to seeing it through. It is something I will continue to do every year, because it combines passion, perseverance, and purpose.

One aspect of Chinese culture I hope to pass on is our traditional music. I play the pipa, a classical Chinese instrument, and through it I’ve come to appreciate the depth, history, and emotion that music carries. Chinese music tells stories, preserves traditions, and connects generations. I believe it’s important to pass this on because music is a universal language that can bridge cultures and keep heritage alive in a way that feels both timeless and inspiring.

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be to break down the limitations of gender expectations. Too often, society defines what men and women “should” or “should not” do, and those expectations can prevent people from pursuing their true passions. I believe gender should never define someone’s potential. Every individual deserves the freedom to express themselves, chase their dreams, and be valued for their character rather than stereotypes. If we can move toward a world where equality is the norm, we will unlock not only individual happiness, but also greater creativity and progress for society as a whole.
