1. What makes a great actress? Do you have a role model? ▼ ▲
I believe a great actress needs to have genuine emotional expression and a sense of mission to convey positive values through her roles. My role model is Charmaine Sheh Sze Man. Whether in period dramas or contemporary dramas, she consistently shows a side of women that is strong and delicate. I admire her gentle resolute demeanor.
2. What is the achievement you are most proud of so far? ▼ ▲
I have volunteered at the SPCA HK, an animal protection society. My responsibilities were to care for injured and homeless animals, help them recover, and find new owners. I feel proud that I made an effort to bring hope and change to these vulnerable animals and make them feel love from people.
3. What would be the best costume in your movie? ▼ ▲
I would choose a warrior style. Because the warrior style represents strength, courage, and decisiveness, qualities that reflect how I face life’s challenges. No matter how big the difficulties are, I am willing to press forward, protect myself, and the people important to me. This style also brings a blend of toughness and softness, like my own inner resilience paired with gentleness.
4. Name a movie that you think everyone should watch. ▼ ▲
I would recommend “Life of Pi”. This movie blends adventure, fantasy, and philosophy. It tells the story of Pi surviving at sea with a Bengal tiger. The visuals are stunning, and it deeply examines the meanings of life, faith, and courage, giving viewers a richer appreciation of the human experience.
5. Please share your favorite three songs and choose one that you feel best represents your life’s theme song. ▼ ▲
My three favorite songs are “My Pride” by Joey Yung. This song is so inspiring, it reminds me that no matter how hard life gets, I should keep my confidence and never give up. The second one is “At Least I Still Have You” by Sandy Lam. The lyrics remind me to cherish the love and companionship of the people around me. And the third one is “All Too Well” by Taylor Swift. This song is emotionally rich, filled with deep memories and feelings of growth. If I had to choose one as my life theme song, it would be “My Pride” because it expresses my perseverance and belief while facing challenges, and I hope to become someone who, even in the face of difficulty, still feels proud of herself.
6. If you could add an additional holiday to the calendar, what would it be and when? ▼ ▲
I would add a holiday called “Embrace Nature Day,” set at the end of September every year when autumn is at its most comfortable and atmospheric. On this day, I hope everyone can put down their phones and step outside, to enjoy autumn leaves, stroll by the lakes, or just quietly sit in the park and soak up the sun and breathe in fresh air.
7. Do you have a must do item on the bucket list that you would like to complete in this year? ▼ ▲
There is one wish I really hope to fulfill this year which is to step out of my comfort zone. And I have already done so by summoning the courage to participate in the Miss Chinese Toronto pageant. I hope to make the most of this opportunity to boost my confidence, break through the psychological boundaries, and become a braver person.
8. What Chinese culture do you hope to pass on to the next generation? ▼ ▲
I hope to pass on the culture of traditional Chinese musical instruments, such as the Guzheng, Erhu, and Pipa. These instruments not only have a long history but also embody the aesthetics and emotions of Chinese culture. Toronto is a multicultural city, preserving these instruments can let the next generation learn about and appreciate China’s artistic treasures, and fostering their cultural pride and sense of identity.
9. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? ▼ ▲
I would choose to make world peace a reality. Peace is the foundation of happiness for everyone. Whether between nations or within societies, conflict bring suffering and destruction. Only with peace can we focus on development, communication, and understanding, and build a world that is better and more inclusive. World peace isn't just the absence of war, it's about promoting mutual respect, equality, and love.
10. What slogan could represent your life?▼ ▲
I would say, "Live in the moment, seize the joy." I believe the most important thing in life is to cherish every present moment, seize the opportunities in front of us, and fully enjoy the joy that life brings.
